Koh Samui, Surathani

Koh Samui is a tropical island paradise in the Gulf of Siam. A hilly, jungle interior of spectacular views and waterfalls sweeps down to perfect white sand beaches and azure blue water. Sunny skies and calm seas prevail for most months of the year. The Island remains unspoiled, with the tallest buildings rising no higher than the tallest palm tree. There is an excellent golf course and every activity you would expect in a relaxed island resort next to a Marine National Park: snorkeling, fishing, mountain biking, horse-riding, sea-canoeing, nature walks and more. The uniquely designed international airport connects directly with Bangkok (70 minutes) and Singapore (90 minutes), giving easy access from all points of Asia.
The island's many attractions include the towns of Chaweng and Lamai, with their craft shops and lively nightlife. The beautiful Ang Thong Marine Park is on the doorstep. Other local sights include the towering Big Buddha and the island's exotic jungle interior, noted for its impressive waterfalls. Even the hill-top golf course enjoys spectacular views. The neighbouring islands of Koh Tao and Koh Pangan can be visited by boat then why not take a boat to an outlying island beach for lunch.
