An outbreak of high pressure over upper northeastern Thailand causes the low pressure trough lying across the lower Central and the East. The Southwest monsoon remains over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf. Scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rain are likely over the upper Thailand in this period.
Tropical Storm “HIGOS” over the Philippines covers the middle South China Sea. It is expected to move northwestwards through southern China by 4-5 October 2008.
