"Cold in upper Thailand and Flooding in the South."
Another outbreak of rather intense high pressure has covered northern and northeastern Thailand. It is expected to dominate the Central and the East by today (24 October 2008). Scattered thundershowers during 24-25 October and, afterwards, decreasing in temperature by 2-4 oC is expected in the Northeast and North, then the rest.
The trough of rather active low pressure still across the central portion of southern Thailand through the low cell in the South China Sea causes abundant rain with isolated heavy to very heavy falls. People in disaster areas and along riverside of Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Krabi, Trang and Satun should beware of severe weather and flooding condition during 24-27 October while wind and wave are rather strong with 2-3 meters in the Gulf especially in the thundershowers areas during 25-27 October.
