Warning! Weather in Thailand Nov 20, 2008
An active low pressure cell covers lower southern east coast of Thailand and the northeast monsoon which dominated the South and the Gulf of Thailand is strengthening. This causes torrential rain and down pour in the south. People in the risky areas such as Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun provinces should beware flooding condition in a few days. Strong wind-wave is likely in the Gulf of Thailand so that all ships should proceed with caution and small boat should keep ashore until 22 November 2008. Meanwhile the surge of intense high pressure system from China covers Thailand causing cool weather with 2-5°C drop and windy in the upper Thailand.
