"Heavy Rain Expected South, Strong Winds in Gulf"
The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Torrential rain remains in the South and following heavy rain occurs in some places. People living in risk areas of Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat provinces should beware flooding due to successive rain along cordillera to expand much of inundated areas. Meanwhile, winds in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southwards stay rather strong with waves 2-3 meters. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats maintain ashore during this period.
Besides, the surge of intense high system over Thailand begins weakening, but mainly cool stays over the upper portion.
