Halloween (or Hallowe’en) is an international holiday celebrated on October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies. Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is celebrated in several countries of the Western world, most commonly in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and at times in parts of Australia. In Sweden the All Saints' official holiday takes place on the first Saturday of November.

Koh Samui, Surathani

At 04.00 p.m. today, an active low pressure cell covers the Myanmar coast. It is further expected that move to the upper Bay of Bengal. The low pressure trough lie across from the low pressure cell in the Myanmar coast, pass the lower Central, upper southern to eastern Thailand toward the low pressure cell in the lower South China Sea. Torrential rain is likely with heavy falls in many places in the western North, the Central, the East and the upper south. People in disaster areas of Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Suphan Buri, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan should beware of flooding conditions. Wind-wave is expected with 2-3 meters in the portion of Thailand Gulf and the Andaman sea. All ships should proceed with caution during 26-27 October.
Another outbreak of intense high pressure from China remains and it is expected to cover Northeaster Thailand. This cause cool with morning fog. Increase in temperature by 1-2 oC is forecast with windy.

Black Mountain

Black mountain CG is one of Hua Hin's best courses, with its undulating fairways. sloping dog legs and ultra fast greens, make sure you take some extra balls in your golf bag. A must to play while in Hua Hin.Green fee = THB 3000.

Black Mountain Golf Club was opened in 2007, just fourteen months after construction first started. The golf course is only a ten minutes drive from Hua Hin, but the setting is tranquil and secluded with beautiful views into the distance. The course has been carved out of jungle and pineapple plantations and the designer, Phil Ryan, has incorporated all the natural creeks, large rocks and trees into a visually stunning golf course.

The aim of the designer was to create a golf course that looks as natural as possible and maintains many of the features of the site. The most important features are the natural creeks that run throughout the course and the natural rocks that have been used as design features on many of the holes. As many of the original trees as possible have been kept and new trees have been planted to frame the holes. Very important in the design concept, was to create a course that could be a test for the top golfers in the world but also very playable and enjoyable to the average golfer. All the holes provide the golfer with a sate route but for the more adventurous player there is a higher risk option with a potential greater reward. The design offers generous fairways for the shorter hitter but becoming narrower for the longer hitter. The greens are large with many pin positions, with different degrees of difficulty, and the course is well protected by beautifully sculptured bunkers. Much thought went into the choice of grass, and it was decided to use seashore paspalum for the tees, fairways and rough. This grass gives a wonderful playing surface and a beautiful emerald green colour. It was decided to use tifeagle bermuda grass on the greens. This hybrid bermuda grass is now recognized as the best putting surface in tropical areas.

No expense has been spared to make the golf course as good as possible and the same is true of the clubhouse. The view from the clubhouse is truly stunning, and gives a panoramic view over the whole course. The clubhouse facilities on offer include fine dining in the restaurant, a well stocked pro shop and luxurious locker rooms. Black Mountain Golf Club offers service and dining to a standard that is normally only found in the finest hotels.

The course yardage from the black tees is 7345 yards, blue tees 6502 yards and from the red tees 5652 yards.

The “Chulakathin Merit Making Ceremony” features merit making activities, rituals, and various forms of entertainment all on the same day. The whole event starts from sunrise to sunset (the night of Saturday, 25 October, 2008) and the kathin offerings are presented to the monks on 26 October, 2008. Accompanying activities in this event include:

Chulakathin Exhibition : Be amazed by the complete process of the production of the Chulakathin robes. The fine process starts with the picking of cotton, separating it, and spinning until the final process when it is turned from cotton into fabric. This is done overnight starting from 19.00 hours. There are also 9 amazing exhibition zones or khuang in the northern dialect.
1. Khuang Khan Toke – a typical northern-style meal.
2. Khuang for Cotton Collecting – picking of cotton to produce cotton fibre.
3. Khuang for Refining – separating the cotton seeds from the cotton
4. Khuang for Mixing - to stir the cotton to make it loose
5. Khuang for Threading – to make cotton into thread
6. Khuang for Weaving – weaving the cloth
7. Khuang for Sewing – cutting and sewing of the material into fabric
8. Khuang for Dyeing – dyeing the fabric
9. Khuang for Making Great Merit of Chulakathin – offering of kathin robes

The Merit Making Ceremony of Chulakathin
Kathin merit making is a Buddhist ritual that has to be carried out within 1 month starting from the first waning day of the eleventh lunar month until the fifteenth waxing day of the twelfth lunar month (the ritual must only be done during this period of time).

Kathin Offering Ceremony : Offering cloth or laying of robes in front of the monks to let them collect it to lay by the Sadueng frame of the robe shape. The piece of cloth would then be tailored into the form required.

An important material for the kathin ceremony is the “kathin cloth”. The kathin ceremony has to be completed within a specific period. In the past, cloth was scarce and it had to be woven from cotton. The long process started from the spinning of cotton, putting it into a loom, weaving, cutting, and sewing till it became a piece of cloth to be offered as a kathin cloth. This tradition has been inherited as a part of Thai culture for generations.

Chulakathin is a mini kathin : With the limited time, the ceremony has to be carried out as quickly as possible; thus, it has to be completed within a day. The ceremony begins with spinning the cotton to make thread until sewing it into a robe and offering it to the monks.

The preparation of the Chulakathin ceremony begins immediately after midnight.
- Collecting cotton for weaving; the picker must be a virgin girl that signifies the purity of the kathin cloth, which is made of cotton.
- Using the collected cotton to be spun and made into thread, ready for weaving. The material that would be used for spinning and weaving has to be of various sets to ensure the production of the 3 main pieces of the robes or at least one long robe to be able to carry out the ceremony within a day.
- Cutting the woven material in to pieces as designed. It is then tightened on the Sadueng wood frame and the pieces are stitched together as a monk’s robe.
- Dyeing the material with natural dyes from plants as a robe’s colour should be. At present, ready-made colour is used.
- Drying and arranging it into a set is the last step and then it is ready for the ceremony. The most important step in the preparation is having sufficient tools and artisans to carry out the production process and finishing it in time.

Chulakathin Offering Ceremony : The person who is the host of the ceremony has to search for a suitable temple. The temple must have at least 5 monks residing. These monks have to be the ones staying in the temple during the 3-month Buddhist rains retreat. The devotee has to do the following preparation:
- Booking the kathin is to inform the abbot of the temple the intention of carrying out the kathin ceremony in that temple. Once the booking is made, the temple would not accept another host unless there is a condition that the initial host is willing to have someone else join as a co-host.
- The host has to prepare all the necessary raw materials and other accessories needed in the ceremony before the process of production begins. Skilled weavers are normally invited to undertake the weaving process. Once getting the small pieces of the material, they would be stitched together as a robe. It would then be dyed and ironed as the final process.
- Offering of the Chulakathin robe – the auspicious day for the ceremony normally falls on the fifteenth waxing day of the twelfth lunar month. The ceremony is like a general kathin offering in that once all ceremonial accessories are completed, participants would bring them into the temple. They would recite the words of offering to the monks in chorus, and the monks would receive the robe, recite prayers for the spirits of the deceased ancestors, and conclude the ceremony.

Leisure Walk around Hua Hin Town

It’s not a bad idea to start from historic place- Hua Hin Railway station, where you can touch a feeling of Hua Hin in1920s, when most people arrived and left this beach resort by train. This is a nice place to take a picture for your memory about Hua Hin.

Walk straight to the east on Damneonkasem Rd., Pon Kingpetch (1st Thai boxing who won the World Boxing Champion) statue stands on the right side. Across the main Street-Petchkasem Rd., pass the Post office you will find many of nice restaurants in European style especially Italian. Go furthermore to very end of the road; you will enter another symbolic place of Hua Hin- Sofitel Central Hotel (1st hotel built in Hua Hin), where its landscape is unique by formed tree. Take some time relax at the Museum Café in the beautiful colonial architecture. (Suggest walking in from the side and outing at the main entrance.)

Now, You are on The Naresdamri Rd.- the dining and shopping district for Hua Hin. From the front of Sofitel Central’s main entrance, keep going on north, Hilton hotel seems to be a Landmark for Hua Hin already since more than 10 years ago (nice viewpoint on the 17th floor). Just follow the light, many kinds of restaurants, tailors, and souvenir shops along both side the road well describe why some people name this path “the Golden Mile”. As you pass Hilton, small alley on the right will lead you to the terrace by the sea- another observation deck at the heart of Hua Hin.

All the way to the end, Fishing Pier is another spot that you could see Hua Hin in a wide skyline panorama. Coming in a right time, and you will see the nature sun beautifully set down behind the hill.

Back to Dechanuchit road, which leads you to the famous Hua Hin night market, where you could feel and touch the ordinary Thai way of life.
Approximate time spending: 2 hrs. You may find a nice place for you dinner during your leisure trip.

After a walk at Night Market, other choices of optional routes are available with some scattering retail stores along. Also, nightlife area is just a short distance away.

อย่างไรก็ตาม ล่าสุดเวลา 14.00 น. วันนี้ (7 ตุลาคม) ดาราหนุ่ม "อ้น" สราวุฒิ เตรียมออกมาแถลงข่าวเกี่ยวกับเรื่องดังกล่าวแล้ว โดยอ้น สราวุฒิเปิดแถลงข่าวทั้งน้ำตาว่า เรื่องที่เกิดขึ้น เป็นความสะเพร่าของตนเอง เผยเหตุคลิปหลุดเพราะมือถือเครื่องที่ถ่ายคลิปดังกล่าวหายไป ยอมรับว่าคนในคลิปนั้นเป็นอ้น และไม่ขอปฏิเสธอะไรทั้งสิ้น และที่ถ่ายคลิปไว้เพราะความรู้สึกคะนอง คิดว่าเก็บไว้ดี แต่ก็หายจนได้ ทั้งนี้ที่ออกมาแถลงข่าวเนื่องจากเรื่องดังกล่าวกระทบกับบุคคลใกล้ชิด ส่วนเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นตนก็ต้องขอโทษ และเสียใจกับเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวเป็นอย่างมาก "ผมขอรับผิดทุกอย่างแต่เพียงผู้เดียวส่วนผู้หญิงคนเก่าผมขอไม่พูดถึง ถึงเขาจะอยู่ในนั้น มันก็ไม่ใช่ความผิดของเขา มันคือความผิดของผม ซึ่งผมก็ต้องรับไป ส่วนผู้หญิงคนปัจจุบัน ต้องมารับผลกระทบด้วย ผมก็รู้สึกเสียใจ และไม่อยากให้มันเกิดขึ้น ไม่รู้จะมีคำไหนที่พูดอีกแล้ว เพราะวันนี้ก็ไม่ต้องหนีต้องอะไรแล้ว ขอบคุณทุกคนมากๆ สิ่งเดียวที่ผมอยากจะขอเลยคือ ว่าเหตุการณ์นี้เป็นความผิดของผม ผมขอให้มันอยู่กับผมแต่เพียงผู้เดียว ผมขอรับผิดชอบเองทั้งหมด ไม่อยากให้กระทบกับใครทั้งสิ้น และก็ขอโทษที่ทำให้ทุกคนผิดหวัง เพราะว่าผมผิดเอง" อ้น กล่าวด้วยน้ำเสียงสั่นเครือพร้อมกับก้มลงกราบ ก่อนจะพูดขอโทษอีกครั้ง และบอกว่าเขาไม่มีอะไรจะตอบแล้ว เพราะพูดทุกอย่างหมดแล้ว ขอความกรุณาอย่าถามเขาถึงเรื่องดังกล่าวอีกเลย และขออย่าพาดพิงไปถึงใครด้วย

ด้านนายสมรักษ์ ณรงค์วิชัย ผู้บริหารช่อง 3 ฝ่ายรายการ ยืนยันว่าเรื่องดังกล่าวเป็นเรื่องส่วนตัว ไม่ส่งผลกระทบกับงาน แต่จะให้เรื่องนี้เป็นอุทธาหรณ์ให้ทุกคนระวังตัว ในเรื่องของการถ่ายคลิป ส่วนต้นตอการปล่อยคลิป ก็ปล่อยให้เป็นหน้าที่ของตำรวจต่อไป

สำหรับสาวที่เป็นข่าวกับอ้นนั้นมีข่าวว่ามีดีกรีเป็นนางแบบ (แต่ขอไม่พูดถึง) และข่าวดังกล่าวก็ส่งผลกระทบความสัมพันธ์กับแฟนสาว "นวล กุลนวล จันทรทรัพย์" ลูกสาวอดีตฑูตอิตาลี ที่มีแพลนว่าจะแต่งงานในอีก 2 ปีข้างหน้าอีกด้วย
